About Ideal-Logic

Ideal-Logic was founded in September 2008 with the commitment to create high-quality, affordable custom software applications as a service. Our approach is different. We deliver a custom application to the customer rapidly, then they start working with their app and tell us what they want changed. We repeat this process over a short period of time until the app is refined to be exactly what the customer needs. Using this approach we create an application that solves the problem, instead of creating more frustration.

Ideal-Logic serves clients in academia and business. Our systems cover a lot of ground, from complex registration and scheduling to intellectual property. In some domains we are considered de-facto experts, and for some clients we learn as we go. We work with very large and very small clients, and they all receive the same high level of service. In any case, we have resounding success stories - our approach is proven and effective.

Our Team

Damien Forkner

Damien is the creator of the technology behind Ideal-Logic. He has decades of experience building and supporting web-based workflow applications at Ideal-Logic, Hewlett-Packard, IBM, and Indiana University, and he holds two patents. He has an MS in Computer Science from Stanford University, and both a BS in Computer Science and a BA in Art History from Indiana University.

Paul Bollmann

Paul is the voice of Ideal-Logic, interacting with nearly all of our existing and new clients on a regular basis. He is our Vice President of Client Relations, and he has decades of customer service experience in industry and academia. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations from the A.Q. Miller School of Journalism and Mass Communications at Kansas State University.

Adam Shields

Adam is our Vice President of Application Development. He brings a unique background focused in organizational growth, business development, and leadership from a wide variety of organizations including outdoor experiential learning, higher education, and national corporations. Adam graduated from Oregon State University with a BS in Media Communications.

Johannes Pikel

Johannes is an accomplished computer scientist who helps support our code base. He joined Ideal-Logic after completing his BS in Computer Science from Oregon State University while living in Saudi Arabia working for Aramco. He has a theater background and BA in Drama from UNC in Asheville.

Cedar Dunn

Cedar works with our Client Team and helps to support our clients. She has an extensive background in communications and client relations, having worked with large companies and smaller entrepreneurial ventures. She holds a BA in Communications from Portland State University.

Gabriel Janzen

Gabriel is a senior developer who builds applications for our clients. Gabriel graduated from Oregon State University with his Bachelor of Computer Science degree. Gabriel also loves hardware and helps maintain our server farm.

Valerie Bloodsworth

Valerie is a member of our Client Team and helps to support our clients. She has extensive experience in higher education administration, specifically housing and conference services, and has served as a housing management software administrator. Valerie holds a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from The University of Akron.

Brittany Nefcy

Brittany is a developer who helps build applications for our clients. She has a background in higher education administration, specifically in student housing and student activities/services. She has a BS in Sociology from the University of Oregon and a MSE in Higher Education Administration from the University of Kansas.

Chelsea Janzen Williams

Chelsea Janzen Williams is a member of our Client Team who helps support our clients. She has a wine industry background with sales development, marketing, and management experience. Previously she worked at Linfield University as program coordinator for the Evenstad Center for Wine Education. Chelsea holds a MM from Arizona State University and a BA from Linfield University.

Aryn Parks

Aryn is a developer who builds applications for our clients. She has a background in mental health and youth mentorship. She graduated from Brigham Young University with a BA in English.

Bree Weeden

Bree is a member of our Client Team and helps support our clients. She has a BS from University of California, Davis, and a Masters of Public Health from Oregon State University. She has a background in higher education, having worked in campus recreation and student health prior to joining Ideal-Logic.

Tim Ocskasy

Tim is a member of our Client Team and helps to support our clients. He has extensive experience in higher education administration, specifically in housing and outdoor recreation. Tim holds a BA in History from Quinnipiac University and a MA in College Student Personnel from Bowling Green State University.

Ideal-Logic is located in Corvallis, Oregon, in the central Willamette Valley, near the campus of Oregon State University. This is a great place to live. One hour's drive to the West is the Pacific Ocean, one hour's drive to the East are the Cascades mountains, and Portland is an easy hour-and-a-half drive to the North. Our office, located on the beautiful downtown riverfront, is within easy walking distance of several parks and dozens of restaurants.
